A seam bowling all-rounder who has already proved that she belongs on the big stage, Amanjot Kaur possesses a highly valuable skillset in the modern-day cricketer. Having always had a sporting inclination, Amanjot played a range of sports growing up but decided to focus her energies on cricket. Primarily a bowler in the early part of her playing days, the Chandigarh-born Amanjot developed her batting game as well going forward. She has represented both Punjab and Chandigarh in domestic cricket, but has played mostly for Punjab.
A strong domestic season earned her a maiden India call-up in early 2023. Amanjot bagged her maiden Player of the Match award in international cricket on her T20I debut by scoring a defining 41* off 30 deliveries against South Africa, before going on to pick a 4-wicket haul on her ODI debut only a few months later.
2025 was a year of major successes for Amanjot. In a breakthrough TATA WPL season, she clinched her maiden title with Mumbai Indians (MI). Months later, the 25-year-old was part of the Indian team that achieved the ultimate glory by winning a maiden ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup title. She scored a crucial half-century in Team India's tournament opener, and it was Amanjot’s catch of Laura Wolvaardt that is widely regarded as a game-changing moment of the final.
