Accurate as ever with the ball and extremely valuable with the bat, an all-rounder in its truest sense. Born in 1994 in Gujarat, Axar Patel made his first-class and List A Debuts in the 2012-13 season. Axar earned his maiden ODI call up in 2014. He made his international Debut against Bangladesh in Mirpur and his T20I Debut next year against Zimbabwe in Harare.
The all-rounder continued to shine in India colors and went on to make a memorable Test Debut against England in 2021 in Chennai, where he claimed his maiden five-wicket haul. Axar made valuable contributions in Team India’s victorious consecutive ICC campaigns – ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and ICC Men’s Champions Trophy in 2024 and 2025 respectively. The all-rounder’s consistent performances with the bat and ball earned him the role of India’s T20I vice-captain in 2025.
